BARBARA PAIS
Content Writer
Bárbara is a nature communicator born and raised in Portugal. Compelled to raise awareness of the value of nature, she specialized in sustainability after graduating in Comms and PR and holds a master's in Marketing. She increased the visibility of a nature reserve in Portugal that followed a rewilding approach and liked tourism businesses with nature conservation. For 5 years, she empowered a community of professionals within the largest European network of Protected Areas as the head of communications (EUROPARC Federation).
Working part-time for the Vulture Conservation Foundation as Content Writer, Bárbara is always looking for the best stories to share. Additionally, she gives voice to nature conservation and climate change adaptation initiatives in Iberia and delivers training courses on digital marketing. She is a trained facilitator that promotes inclusive dialogues and often moderates nature-related events and round tables. In her free time, she teaches yoga and enjoys herself in the wild, swimming, hiking and birding.
