The first European Vulture Conference took place in the Algarve, Portugal, back in 2019, and it was a success! Over 240 participants joined us in 2019, ranging from scientists to conservationists and the general public. The programme was packed and featured 72 scientific talks, 34 posters, eight symposia, three field trips and five vulture artists.
The European Vulture Conference 2023 is co-funded by the European Union’s LIFE Programme within the framework of LIFE Aegypius Return, a new project that aims to consolidate and expand the Cinereous Vulture population in Portugal and western Spain.
