(c) Gregoire Trunet Photographie<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Friday 6 December, the magnificent Bearded Vulture Silviano returned in the skies of Argel\u00e8s-Gazost. The vulture was rescued, rehabilitated and released twice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rescue and rehabilitation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Silviano is a female that was found injured last October by the guards of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pg\/parcnationaldespyrenees\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Parc national des Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es<\/a>&nbsp;in the Cauterets sector. The vulture possibly suffered a collision with a cable during a strong wind incident, and so she was taken care of by the dedicated team at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hegalaldia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hegalaldia &#8211; Centre de Sauvegarde de la Faune Sauvage 64<\/a>. After a few weeks of homoeopathic pain treatment and osteopathic sessions, Silviano flew perfectly again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Release<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hundreds of spectators participated at the release of Silviano on Friday 6 December to see the magnificent vulture returning to the skies of Argel\u00e8s-Gazost. Once freed, the vulture took off immediately and gained height quickly!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was actually the second time Silviano was rescued, rehabilitated and released. The first time she ingested a cattle earring, which caused her to develop an intestinal obstruction and lead poisoning.
