ANBI stands for Algemeen Nut Beogende Instellingen in Dutch or Public Benefit Organisation in English. As the Stichting Vulture Conservation Foundation is formally a Dutch foundation, the foundation is working under Dutch tax laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Importance of ANBI for the VCF<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2008 the Dutch Tax Administration can designate an institution to be a \u201cPublic Benefit Organization\u201d (ANBI). At least 90% of the efforts of an ANBI has to be focused on the general good and the organization has to meet specific requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This decision is an important decision for the VCF. It can be seen as a recognition of our professional way of working with a clear vision and strategy on our work. This is something we have really worked hard for! The decision also opens up opportunities for the VCF on fundraising. With this status, we are eligible for specific programmes with specific corporations that give us a huge discount on their products, because of this status. This provides us with new opportunities to professionalize our work and have more funding available for actual conservation work!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also means that citizens of The Netherlands can deduct donations to the VCF in their income tax return if you meet the conditions of the tax authorities. This will hopefully boost donations from our Dutch followers! And with these donations, we can off course increase our effort for vulture conservation. So, Dutch vulture fans,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/4vultures.org\/es\/donate\/\">please donate<\/a>!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, the tax deduction from this ANBI-status, cannot be automatically used in other countries. We are working on a way to also make this work. Of course, you can always donate to one of our partners in your own country!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For our Dutch donors<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>U kunt de VCF steunen met een gewone gift of een periodieke gift. En als u het nog de komende twee weken doet, kunt u de aftrek nog voor het belastingjaar 2020 gebruiken!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gewone gift<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Een gewone gift is een gift die u maar 1 keer doet. Of een gift die u wel jaarlijks doet, maar niet in een overeenkomst hebt vastgelegd. Voor gewone giften geldt een drempel. Het bedrag daarboven mag u aftrekken. Maar niet meer dan het maximumbedrag. Het drempelbedrag en het maximumbedrag hangen af van uw drempelinkomen. Dat is het totaal van uw inkomsten en aftrekposten in box 1, 2 en 3, maar zonder uw persoonsgebonden aftrek. Als u online aangifte doet, heeft de Belastingdienst uw drempelbedrag ingevuld op het scherm waar u uw giften kunt aftrekken. Het drempelbedrag is 1% van uw drempelinkomen, maar minimaal \u20ac 60. Wat u meer hebt gegeven, mag u aftrekken. Tot een maximumbedrag van 10% van uw drempelinkomen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>U hoeft hiervoor geen bewijsstukken naar de Belastingdienst op te sturen. Wel dient u, in het geval van controle, aan te kunnen tonen dat u de gift heeft gedaan door het overleggen van schriftelijke stukken, zoals bankafschriften of kwitanties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/4vultures.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/image-254.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15027\" width=\"948\" height=\"376\" srcset=\"https:\/\/4vultures.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/image-254.png 670w, https:\/\/4vultures.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/image-254-300x119.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 948px) 100vw, 948px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Periodieke gift<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gebruik het formulier &#8216;Periodieke gift in geld&#8217; als u&nbsp;minimaal 5 jaar&nbsp;lang een gift in geld wilt doen aan de VCF. Het formulier bevat een gedeelte voor u en een gedeelte voor ons. Als alles is ingevuld, kunt u de overeenkomst naar ons opsturen en uw eigen deel voor uw eigen administratie bewaren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/download.belastingdienst.nl\/belastingdienst\/docs\/overeenkomst_period_gift_in_geld_ib0802z3fol.pdf\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Wilt u dat uw periodieke gift in geld automatisch naar de VCF wordt overgemaakt? Dan kunt u het formulier &#8216;Betalingsvolmacht&#8217; gebruiken.
