See <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rts.ch\/play\/tv\/couleurs-locales\/video\/le-gypaete-barbu-est-de-retour-dans-les-alpes?id=8037269\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/www.rts.ch\/play\/tv\/couleurs-locales\/video\/le-gypaete-barbu-est-de-retour-dans-les-alpes?id=8037269<\/a><\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"http:\/\/gypaetebarbu.fr\/life-gypconnect\/\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The LIFE+ project GYPCONNECT<\/a>, funded by the EU LIFE Fund, and led by the League pour la Protection des Oiseaux (LPO), in partnership with the VCF, Vautours en Baronnies,\u00a0 Centre National d&#8217; Informations Toxicologiques V\u00e9t\u00e9rinaires, Electricit\u00e9 R\u00e9seau Distribution France, Parc National des C\u00e9vennes, Parc Naturel R\u00e9gional du Vercors, and the Universit\u00e9 Pierre et Marie Curie \u2013 Paris 6, started in 2015, and will last for 6 years, and <a href=\"https:\/\/4vultures.org\/es\/2015\/11\/13\/life-gypconnect-starts-linking-bearded-vultures-from-the-alps-to-the-pyrenees\/\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">aims to establish a breeding population of bearded vultures in the massif central<\/a>, as well as in the Pre-Alps, through reintroduction, and promoting dispersal movements between the reintroduced Alps and the wild Pyrenean population.<\/p>\n<p> This project is part of the VCF strategy to restore the species in Europe and promote movements of the species between Iberia and the Alps, thus promoting gene flow, which will also help increasing the genetic diversity of the alpine population, and thus accelerate the end of the Alpine reintroduction.<\/p>\n<p> During 2016 four Bearded vulture nestlings <a href=\"https:\/\/4vultures.org\/es\/2016\/06\/06\/more-than-200-people-saw-girun-and-volcaire-being-released-in-the-baronnies-a-new-site-in-our-project-to-re-establish-bearded-vultures-across-europe\/\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">have been released in Baronnies<\/a> y <a href=\"https:\/\/4vultures.org\/es\/2016\/05\/30\/two-more-young-bearded-vultures-released-in-loz\u00e8re\/\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Grands Causses<\/a> inside the framework of this Life project<\/p>\n<p> For more information about LIFE GYPCONNECT please see <a href=\"http:\/\/gypaetebarbu.fr\/life-gypconnect\/\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/gypaetebarbu.fr\/life-gypconnect\/<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A recent TV short report on the LIFE GYPCONNECT highlights the aims \u2013 and the challenges \u2013 of our project.
