The roentgenography did not reveal any gunshot pellets, neither signs of shooting or electrocution. The team collected bone sample for lead poisoning analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Birds of Prey Protection Society provided the other Griffon Vulture to the centre. It seems that a train on a railway in Vrachanski Balkan crashed the vulture. The vulture is suspected to be one of the many victims of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/4vultures.org\/pt\/2019\/09\/20\/five-griffon-vultures-are-the-new-victims-of-poisoning-in-bulgaria\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mass poisoning of birds of prey<\/a>&nbsp;that took place last September in the Vrachanski Balkan region. The team also performed a roentgenography, which did not reveal any gunshot pellets and excluded the possibility of poaching. Samples were collected from internal organs and bones for poisoning analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will report on the results once they are available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vultures Back To LIFE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"310\" height=\"207\" src=\"http:\/\/4vultures.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/image-113.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12956\" srcset=\"https:\/\/4vultures.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/image-113.jpg 310w, https:\/\/4vultures.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/image-113-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 310px) 100vw, 310px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Led by the wildlife conservation charity\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/greenbalkans.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Green Balkans<\/a>, with activities also implemented by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fwff.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fund for Wild Flora and Fauna<\/a>, and bringing together partners from Bulgaria, Spain and Germany,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/4vultures.org\/pt\/life-projects\/vultures-back-to-life\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vultures Back to LIFE<\/a>\u00a0aims to reintroduce the cinereous or Eurasian black vulture to Bulgaria.
