Young Egyptian vulture released last week in Extremadura is already in central Morocco

Tizón , the young Egyptian Vulture released last week in the Sierra de Hornachos (Extremadura), has made some good progress and is already close to Marr…akesh, in central Morocco (see map below).

Tizón had been found in August disoriented and suffering malnutrition, and after rehabilitation was released with a GSM tag by the Junta de Extremadura, AMUS and the VCF. The Egyptian Vulture is globally Endangered, and Spain is one of its strongholds.
