The indiscriminate, widespread and intense killing of vultures, eagles and other birds – now fortunately rare in Europe, continues unabated in other areas, namely in the Middle East, Central Asia and the Caucasus – unfortunately illegal hunting is still rampant in some areas, with a strong impact on some populations.
