Are you passionate about wildlife conservation? Do you want to be part of a dedicated team working to restore Europe’s vultures? If so, the Vulture Conservation Foundation (VCF) is seeking a Project Assistant with experience in administrative procedures in Spain, especially related to CITES and TRACES. The ideal candidate will have the ability to support logistics for the organization of events and seminars, as well as communication with various stakeholders. This position offers the opportunity for remote working from a home base in Spain and will contribute greatly to several vulture conservation efforts, especially related to vulture restocking and reintroduction, as well as fighting against wildlife crime. About the Vulture Conservation Foundation

VCF is the leading organization dedicated to vulture conservation in Europe. We strive to ensure the survival and recovery of these important birds through various projects and initiatives across the continent. We manage several large-scale projects, including EU-funded LIFE projects, in many different countries in Europe, with significant actions and activities in Spain.

Overall purpose of the job

The Project Assistant will primarily support VCF’s work in Spain, focusing on administrative tasks. This includes assisting in coordinating the transport of vultures, including communication with authorities and rehabilitation centres, and managing administrative procedures. Additionally, they will provide logistical support for events, including travel arrangements, accommodation bookings, and communication activities. The successful candidate will also support the Programme Manager with administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, drafting contracts, and managing internal files.

The right candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of relevant administrative experience, preferably with Spanish authorities, familiarity with administrative processes in Spain, experience in event organization and working in a non-profit environment, fluency in Spanish and English, and a strong teamwork, proactive attitude, and passion for wildlife conservation.
