The Annual Bearded Vulture Meeting 2022 is just around the corner! 

Every year, this event brings together Bearded Vulture experts and enthusiasts from Europe and beyond to share the latest insights on the conservation and research of the species. 

This time, the Annual Bearded Vulture Meeting will take place from 11 to 13 November 2022 at Parco Natura Viva in Bussolengo, Italy.

It’s time to start planning your trip to attend the Annual Bearded Vulture Meeting 2022. Please review the event information below and register by 24 October 2022 to secure your place.  

Programme

The programme of the Annual Bearded Vulture Meeting 2022 is packed with the latest updates from different regions and fields of Bearded Vulture projects across Europe and beyond.

Accommodation

There are plenty of accommodation options in Bussolengo and the neighbouring area, making it easy and simple for participants to arrange their own accommodation.

We encourage participants to use this website to search for and choose where to stay during the event. 

Conference room

The conference room is a few minutes away from the park on foot. Participants should first arrive at Parco Natura Viva to register and then proceed to walk to the conference room.  

The conference room can host around 200 guests. 

Meals

Lunches will be available at the restaurant of Parco Natura Viva. Participants must indicate these sessions and any dietary restrictions (if applicable) when registering for the event. They will need to pay Parco Natura Viva for their lunches on-site with cash or card. 

There are two lunch options:

€11 per person:

  • mineral water (50ml)
  • main course to choose from the menu of the day
  • fruit
  • bread

or €15 per person:

  • mineral water (50ml)
  • main course to choose from the menu of the day
  • second course to choose from the menu of the day
  • fruit
  • bread

Parco Natura Viva will also offer a free dinner on Saturday, 12 November. 

Coffee breaks will be served in the same building as the conference room.

Closer to the event date, we will also suggest good restaurants where participants can choose to have dinner on other nights. 

How to arrive

Travel by car

When approaching Bussolengo or Pastrengo, there are several brown signposts providing clear directions toward Parco Natura Viva. 

Driving via highway:
  • When coming from Milan (highway Milano-Venezia), exit at Sommacampagna
  • When coming from Venezia and from Bologna, exit Verona Nord
  • When coming from Trento (highway Brennero), exit Affi

Then follow directions to Parco Natura Viva – Safari Park. 

Alternatively, you can also check online for the easiest way to arrive at Parco Natura Viva via Google Maps

The parking area at Parco Natura Viva is free for all attendees.

Travel by plane

The closest international airports are Verona Villafranca Airport, Milan Bergamo Airport and Venice Marco Polo Airport.

  • Verona to Parco Natura Viva by car takes around 25 minutes. Total distance: 20 km
  • Milan to Parco Natura Viva by car takes around one hour. Total distance: 100 km
  • Venice to Parco Natura Viva by car takes around one hour and 30 minutes. Total distance: 140 km

Registration

The Annual Bearded Vulture Meeting is free to attend and open to all.

Registration is now closed.

When registering, we will ask you to enter details on your flights and transfers, so we can start planning any lifts or additional transfer needs. In order for us to help you as much as we can, please be as informative as possible.
