Bearded vultures – and one of the most remarkable wildlife comeback stories of our times – features in Geographical

Photographer Luke Massey and feature writer Katie Stacey have been shadowing some of the VCF staff for some time, learning about the greatest of adventures – the reintroduction of the bearded vulture into the European mountains. Their story appears in the magazine Geographical, that is now being distributed across stalls all over the UK (and beyond).

In the article you can read about the bearded vulture demise – and its recovery from quasi-extinction. But also about some of the current threats – like the veterinary drug diclofenac or lead poisoning from lead ammunition, and the Vulture Multi-species Action Plan.

Great species – great story. Please buy the magazine! Conservation in action!
