It is with sadness that we mark the death of Dr Luc Hoffmann, the founder of MAVA, at the age of 93.
Luc Hoffmann was a lifelong passionate naturalist, and a vulture enthusiast. He was the driving force behind a multitude of conservation organizations and initiatives, and lent his support to the VCF when it was most needed. He established the MAVA Foundation in 1994.
Luc Hoffmann has touched and inspired the lives of countless people who work to conserve the biodiversity of this world, and will be fondly remembered by the VCF community.
We will continue to work hard for Europe´s vultures – our small contribution to celebrate his legacy and his passion. Thank you Luc, thank you MAVA.
