The Annual Bearded Vulture Meeting 2017 was held at the Haute-Savoie, in Passy, France, from 10-12 November 2017. Twenty years ago, in 1997, the first wild-hatched Bearded Vulture fledged in Haute-Savoie in the Alpine reintroduction project.
The conference took place on Friday, Saturday afternoon and Sunday.
Saturday morning was dedicated to a field trip to the mountains close to the meeting venue. Participants visited a place where cables have been made visible to vultures in the LIFE GypHelp project.
During the whole three days meeting, there were several public events in the conference building with photo exhibitions and film presentations.
