Et voila Cardabelle appears again!

Cardabelle is a female bearded vulture released in 2012 in the Grands Causses, as part of the reintroduction project there, now within the LIFE GYPCONNECT project.

In Spring 2013 Cardabelle travelled to the Spanish Pyrenees, and spent most of the time in the supplementary feeding points that exist on the Aragón side of the mountain chain.  However, soon after her GPS tag stopped working, and therefore we lost track of her – until recently, when she was again seen and photographed, still in Aragon, on 23/04/2016 (by JA Sesé – from the regional government of Aragón – see photos), and again on 16/06/2016 in the valley d’Aure (Hautes-Pyrénées) by the staff from the Parc National des Pyrénées. She can be recognised by her rings. Good to know Cardabelle is alive and well!
