Celebrate the International Vulture Awareness Day (IVAD) with us and learn all you need to know about Europe’s vultures!
Join us LIVE for a presentation and Q&A session with our Director, José Tavares. You will learn why we need vultures, how vultures returned to Europe from the brink of extinction and what we at the Vulture Conservation Foundation are doing to conserve them. Of course, you will also get the opportunity to ask any questions you might have and we will do our best to answer them!
How to participate
The event is free and open to all.
To take part in the interactive Q&A session, you need to register on Zoom to join the event.
If you prefer to watch the talk LIVE on the day, visit our Facebook page on 4 September at 11 am CET. The recorded version will also be available on our page after the event ends.
More ways to celebrate Europe’s vulture on IVAD
Every year, IVAD encourages us to share our passion for these birds collectively and highlight the important work carried out by the world’s vulture conservationists. There are many ways to celebrate vultures on the day. You can participate in an event, organise an activity or help raise awareness. In our recent blog post, you can find several ideas on how you can help Europe’s vultures during IVAD.
